Article summary

Use the Product Matching feature to gather product data from one or more websites and map them into a unified data structure. Mapping products allows you to compare different data points, such as prices, availability, and more across multiple sources/websites. Product Matching includes tools to automatically map data from websites to a single source of truth, validate the data, and assist monitoring the quality of the data.

The Product Matching feature can handle multiple product indexes. Each product index is completely stand-alone — all data within an index is completely isolated, meaning data is not shared between multiple product indexes. There is no limit on the number of product indexes that can be added.

We recommend creating 1 index per product type. Product type is defined as the sum of its properties. For example, items like tablets/smartphones have similar properties and items like shoes and clothing have similar properties.
